Greetings from Bud Breault, Airport Manager

Barnstable
Municipal Airport, the third busiest in Massachusetts, is Cape Cod’s
regional airport and the gateway to Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard and
Boston.
In November
and December 2011, we opened a new, state-of-the-art air traffic
control tower and a gleaming, 35,000 sq. ft. passenger terminal. In
addition, there is a new, convenient access road from Attucks Lane
designed to take traffic pressure off Rte. 132 and the Airport
Rotary.
These
improvements have been in the planning for years, nurtured and
supported by the Town of Barnstable, the Barnstable Municipal
Airport Commission, the Cape Cod Commission, the Massachusetts
Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Division and the Federal
Aviation Administration. The best news is that all of the progress
came at no direct cost to local taxpayers thanks to state and
federal grants and the airport’s reserve funds.
According to
a recent state study, Barnstable Municipal Airport and its tenants
provide more than 2,246 jobs to the region, annual wages and
benefits exceeding $74 million and annual goods and services of more
than $227 million. There can be no doubt that we are a vital
economic engine on Cape Cod.
I am available to learn of your
ideas and suggestions. Please e-mail me anytime at

Thank you.
