| The Comprehensive Planning Function is responsible for
identifying, analyzing and planning for the Town’s long-term
needs as they relate to commercial and economic development, the
preservation and enhancement of natural and historic resources
and the provision of adequate public facilities and
infrastructure.
Jo Anne Miller Buntich, Director of Growth Management, oversees the
town’s long-term planning efforts including the updating and
implementation of the local comprehensive plan, the drafting of
amendments to the zoning and general ordinances and the
coordination of intergovernmental activities relating to
planning issues. Most recently, Comprehensive Planning staff has
concentrated on preparing the Growth Incentive Zone application
for filing and review by the Cape Cod Commission . Staff works
with the Town Council, the Town Manager, town agencies and
committees and the Cape Cod Commission on a wide variety of
long-term planning and development issues including wastewater
facilities planning, transportation planning, capital
improvements, environmental issues, and downtown revitalization.
