Plan Information

Hazard mitigation is defined as any sustained action to reduce and/or eliminate short or long-term risk to life, property, infrastructure and natural, cultural, and historic resources from natural hazards. The draft Barnstable Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan examines hazards that may occur within the Town, identifies specific areas and facilities that may be vulnerable to these hazards, and outlines a strategy to mitigate disaster risks.
